What a mystery. For days I have not found out anything online, and that is very rare. Another mystery is that Eldocraft does not show up in the NADA guides anywhere, that is extremely odd. I am still looking for the 77 fiberglass version. Got me puzzled We'll find something

I wonder if Smackover public records will have anything. The company had to have ran promo ads for their boats ect.... There has to be something out there.

Smackover is such a small town, I bet everyone in town worked for Eldo Craft. Still looking here.

Mark, what you need to do is get a free photobucket account, upload the photo there, and then link it with your message. The forum does not store photos, but will link a photo into it so it appears to be right in the message. Let me know if you need further help.

I will get those numbers tonite and post them tomorrow. I havent had any luck either. Sure is hard to believe that EldoCraft just vanished. It is also odd that I havent seen another boat like mine on the net. I have seen some Eldocrafts but none that look like mine so now Im wondering if it really is a EldoCraft.

Mark, Your boat was made by the Rough Neck Boat Company in Smackover Ark that was later to become (Roger G. Haines Company, 1701 Malco Drive, West Point, GA.) Eldocraft was located in Smackover and probably branched out of the Rough Neck Boat Company. Since your HIN does not bear an Eldocraft MIC, but does bear the Rough Neck MIC (Manufacturers Id Code), it must have been made prior to Eldocraft owning either the company or the molds. I will dig further and see what turns up. Rough Neck Boat Company terminated the business in March 78, and the MIC reappeared 12 years later, which is not unusual in the business. Many marine industries go dormant as the market changes. boat-manufacturers.findthebest.com/detail/10879/Roger-G-Haines1701 Malco Drive is a residence which was used as the mailing or legal address for the corporation and may have operated remotely. He closed the business in 1999 after 9 years of operation so he did not make your boat, but produced from the molds that carried the Rough Neck MIC. It is interesting to note that the MIC is the initials of Roger G Haines, which leads me to believe the company owned Rough Neck Boats all along and may have split into Eldocraft and RGH as two separate companies. I'll get back with you. There is a Roughneck Boat Company, but there does not seem to be a relation.

I'm still here. Been super busy with work and all the storms we have been getting lately. Last week I lost a large portion of my roof in a violent storm, then 3 days later a storm ripped off the tarps and dumped water into the house collapsing a ceiling. New tarps and now more storms today with high winds and rain. Whata mess. Thanks for checking I still cruise by this site as much as possible to check on it. James
